Brightwing is excited to announce that we have been recognized for outstanding company culture as #20 (out of 100) of Crain’s Cool Places to Work in Michigan in 2022. This program is sponsored by Best Companies Group, an organization who has specialized in identifying and recognizing great employers to work for for 17 years.

Crain’s discovered the aspects that make Brightwing a preferred place to work: open-door communication, growth opportunities, and a family atmosphere.

In the words of one employee: “I think one of Brightwing’s greatest strengths is that it ‘meets people where they are.’ They see you as a whole person – not just a worker – and they look to make sure you’re doing well in a holistic way. They push you to grow and give you the support and the space to make mistakes that someone would need to make real growth achievable.”

As another Brightwinger put it: “The number one thing that Brightwing does that makes it a place where people want to work is foster a family-like atmosphere and culture. Almost immediately upon hire, you feel welcomed into this big family. Office conversations are authentic and always a highlight of the day. Everyone genuinely cares about each other, inside and outside of work”

Brightwing President Jeff Genovich echoes these sentiments:  “At Brightwing, we value our employees as people. We try to see who they are, what value they can bring, and then we help them build a bridge to where they want to be in their careers. I’ve benefited from this approach myself, from when I started as a recruiter until now. Brightwing gives our employees the opportunity to apply what they learn, take risks, and get better.”

Aaron Chernow, Brightwing’s CEO, also added, “The people are the reason I go to work every day, and I know I’m not the only one who feels this way. It is truly an honor to be recognized for this.”

Crain’s Cool Places to Work is a two-step process including an evaluation of a company’s policies, practices, demographics, and benefits as well as an in-depth employee questionnaire. These components identified Brightwing’s long-term goals and whether or not employees felt satisfied and prepared to achieve these goals.
