Mon, August 10 – App Demo Event

When: 6:00 – 8:00 pm | Where: TechTown Detroit – 440 Burroughs St, Detroit, MI

Mobile Monday Detroit is providing an opportunity for 6 individual mobile app developers or mobile app development firms to showcase the great work they’ve done! Each presenter will have 10 minutes to showcase their app to our audience; all presentations will include answering MoMoDetroit provided questions that will help our audience gain a clear understanding about your app, what it does, why you developed it, and how well it’s working for those who use it.

Mobile Monday Detroit is a chapter of Mobile Monday Michigan which executes on Mobile Monday International objectives by delivering a balanced approach of business and technical content. We will look to the Michigan business community for this content, as well as beyond our State in order to make certain the Michigan community is made aware of developments taking place outside our area that can aid their business.

Vinli is developing cutting edge technologies in the connected car space that will transform the industry and spawn a variety of innovations in urban mobility. After a short presentation we’ll open up the floor to questions from the audience.

This group is all about the future of urban mobility, transportation and the connected car. If you love cars (connected ones, autonomous ones, electric ones or even shared ones) this is the group for you. We are a group of tech and car enthusiasts who come together to share the biggest and brightest ideas and companies in the space.

Tues, August 11 – The Future of Law – Leveraging Innovation & Technology

This group aims to bring together Michiganders interested in legal innovation, how technology can be used to improve legal services/access to justice, and legal startups. We are open to lawyers, judges, business people, coders, web developers, academics, and anyone curious about legal technology and innovation.

Our goals include tackling current issues with the legal system, promoting the creation of legal technology solutions, and building community across disciplines. Detroit has always been home to innovative thinkers. It is time to apply that tradition to law!

You are cordially invited to the first annual Hackathon hosted by Coupon Wallet! That’s right, we’re holding a 24-hour hackathon for all of you geniuses out there. Unbelievable prizes for the winners.

Coupon Wallet© has an extensive RESTful API for creating, managing, tracking, clearing, and using coupons digitally. Your goal is to create an application on any platform you choose (i.e. Website, Android, iOS, etc.) using our API. Applications will be judged by our panel. The team that creates the most creative and innovative application will be the first place winner, followed by a second and third place.

Does it have to be a software application? No! If your team has the resources to create a hardware solution, you’re welcome too! However, we cannot provide any tools or components to help you. If your team will need an oscilloscope, you will have to bring it yourself.

IT in The D was started by IT professionals for IT professionals. We didn’t like any other group out there, so we started our own! At our events, you might meet some recruiters, some out of work developers, some sales guys, some network admins, some web guys and some senior level management

So come on out, bring some business cards (or don’t, it’s OK), meet some like-minded people in the Metro Detroit area, and who knows, you could meet a life-long friend, a new business partner, or no one at all…it’s what you make of it that makes these events great.
